Automotive Engraving in Victoria
Victorian riders and owners work with Phil by sending their own motorcycle and automotive components in. Every engraving is carried out personally by Phil at the Forever Milestones workshop in Jamisontown, New South Wales, with return delivery arranged once the work is finished.
There is no Victorian workshop, branch or representative. Talk to Phil before sending anything so the component and the design can be confirmed first.

How the Victoria Australia-wide automotive engraving service works
The distance between Melbourne and Penrith changes the logistics, not the standard of the work. Everything that would normally happen across a workbench happens over photographs and a conversation instead.

Contact Phil before sending anything
The conversation comes first. Nothing should be packed or posted from Victoria until Phil has seen what you have and confirmed the project.

Describe the item and the result you want
Explain what the component is, what it came off and what the finished piece should say or show. That could be a name, a date, a call sign, an emblem or your own artwork.

Supply photographs, artwork or design ideas
Photographs of the engraving face from a few angles do most of the work remotely. Artwork files, wording lists or a hand sketch are all useful. You need permission to use any logo or protected design.

Phil assesses suitability remotely
Material, finish, thickness and the usable engraving area determine what can be done. Phil tells you honestly what the component will and will not take before you commit to sending it.

Pack securely and send to Jamisontown after confirmation
Once the project is agreed, pack the component protectively and send it to the Jamisontown workshop using the method you and Phil have discussed.

Engraving, finishing and quality checking
Phil carries out the engraving personally and inspects the finished component before it is repacked.

Return delivery is arranged
Return delivery back to Victoria is arranged with you directly, agreed before the component leaves the workshop.

Timing covers may also be considered. Phil assesses the individual component before it is sent.

Reflector inserts can be discussed with Phil as part of a custom engraving enquiry. Suitability depends on the individual item and requested work.
Other components
Other motorcycle and automotive components are considered individually. Customers should confirm suitability with Phil before sending any item.
This is not a complete list, and it is not a guarantee that a given part can be engraved. For Harley-Davidson projects Phil can generally supply a new, genuine component, and car and other automotive components are generally supplied by the customer.

Customers in Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and regional Victoria use the Australia-wide process precisely so they do not have to travel to New South Wales. These are simply the places customers write in from. Forever Milestones has no premises, staff or agents in any of them.
You deal with Phil directly the whole way through. The person answering your questions about depth, placement and lettering is the person who will hold your component and engrave it, which keeps the detail from getting lost in a chain of hand-offs.
Do not send anything until Phil has confirmed the project. An unannounced parcel cannot be assessed or scheduled, and the conversation is what makes the rest of the process work.
General packing guidance
- Wrap the engraving face first so nothing rubs against it in transit.
- Use firm padding on every side rather than loose fill that can shift.
- Choose a box with room for padding around the component, not a snug fit.
- Ask Phil whether any removable fittings, gaskets or hardware should remain attached before packing the component.
- Include your name and contact details inside the parcel as well as outside.
- Keep any tracking details you are given until the component is back with you.
This is general guidance to help protect your component in transit. Delivery, insurance and any cover for items in transit are matters between you and the delivery service you choose.

- Not always. For Harley-Davidson projects, Phil can generally supply a new, genuine component as part of the agreed project. You may also provide your own suitable part. Car and other automotive components are generally supplied by the customer.

- Contact Phil first to discuss the component and the engraving you want. Once he has assessed photographs and confirmed the project is suitable, you securely send the component to the Jamisontown workshop in New South Wales and return delivery is arranged.
- Does Forever Milestones have a workshop in Victoria?
- No. The only Forever Milestones workshop is at 24 Ikin Street, Jamisontown NSW 2750. There are no Victorian offices, branches, representatives or mobile engraving services, and all work is carried out personally by Phil in Jamisontown.
- What motorcycle or automotive components can I send?
- Customers can contact Phil about derby covers, timing covers, reflector inserts and other components. Other motorcycle and automotive components are assessed individually, and suitability depends on the material, finish and usable engraving area of the specific part.
- How is return delivery arranged?
- Return delivery is discussed and agreed with you directly as part of the project, before the finished component leaves the workshop. Costs, methods and timing are confirmed with Phil rather than fixed in advance.
- Should I send the component before requesting a quote?
- No. Request a quote and talk the project through with Phil first. Components should only be sent from Victoria once suitability and the arrangements have been confirmed.
