Automotive Engraving in the Northern Territory
Northern Territory riders and owners can have motorcycle and automotive components engraved by arrangement with Phil. The project, and the way the component travels, are both confirmed before anything is packed. The engraving itself is carried out personally by Phil at the Forever Milestones workshop in Jamisontown, New South Wales.
There is no Darwin or Northern Territory workshop, representative or mobile service. Contact Phil before posting so the component and the transport arrangements can be confirmed.
For Harley-Davidson projects, Phil can generally supply a new, genuine component as part of the agreed project. Customers may also send their own suitable part. Car and other automotive components are generally customer supplied. Every project should be discussed with Phil before a component is purchased, delivered or posted.
The engraving process
Confirming the project and the transport before anything moves
A component leaving the Territory has a long way to go, and delivery options are not the same from every address. Both the engraving and the journey are settled in conversation first.

Contact Phil before anything is packed or posted
Begin with a message or a call. Nothing should leave the Territory until Phil has assessed the component and the arrangements have been discussed.

Describe the component and the engraving you want
Explain what the piece is, what it came off and what the finished engraving should say or show, whether that is wording, a date, an emblem or your own artwork.

Supply clear photographs and any artwork
Photographs matter more the further away you are. Shoot the engraving face straight on and from an angle in good light, and include any artwork file, exact wording list or sketch. You need permission to use any logo or protected design.

Phil assesses the individual component
Material, finish, thickness and the usable engraving area decide what can be done, and you get a straight answer about your specific part before you commit to sending it.

Agree how the component will travel, then send it
Delivery options vary considerably between Darwin, regional towns and remote addresses, so the sending method is discussed for your location. The component goes only after suitability and those arrangements are confirmed.

Engraving and checking in Jamisontown
Phil completes the engraving personally, inspects the finished component and repacks it for the return journey.

Return delivery to your Northern Territory address is agreed with you directly before the component leaves the workshop.

Territory distances
Long distances make the first conversation worth more
Customers in Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, Katherine and regional Northern Territory may contact Phil about the Australia-wide automotive engraving service. These are geographic service examples only. Forever Milestones has no Northern Territory premises, staff or representatives, and all engraving is completed in Jamisontown.
Delivery is not uniform across the Territory. What is straightforward from a Darwin suburb may be quite different from a remote property, so this page does not claim that every location can use the same method. Phil will talk through the options with you, and the choice of carrier and service remains yours.
Detailed photographs and a clear description are what make a remote assessment reliable. The more Phil can see of the surface, the fixing points and the space available for lettering, the less chance there is of a surprise after a component has already made a long trip.
Preparing a component for a long journey
- Speak with Phil before packing or sending anything.
- Protect the engraving surface first so nothing can press or rub against it.
- Use firm padding on every side rather than loose fill that can settle in transit.
- Choose a sturdy box with room for padding around the component.
- Ask Phil whether fittings, gaskets or hardware should remain attached.
- Include your name and contact details inside the parcel as well as outside.
- Keep any tracking information you are given for both directions of travel.
This guidance applies only when you supply and post a component. It is general guidance to help protect your component in transit. Delivery, insurance and any cover for items in transit are matters between you and the delivery service you choose.

- No. Forever Milestones works from one workshop at 24 Ikin Street, Jamisontown NSW 2750. There are no Forever Milestones premises in Darwin or Alice Springs, no Territory representative and no mobile engraving service. All engraving is completed personally by Phil in Jamisontown.
- Can customers in regional and remote areas make an enquiry?
- Yes. Customers anywhere in the Territory are welcome to enquire. What differs between locations is the delivery options available to you, so the sending and return arrangements are discussed for your particular address rather than assumed to be the same everywhere.
- How is component suitability assessed?
- Phil looks at the individual component through the photographs and details you supply, considering material, finish, thickness and the usable engraving area alongside the design you have described. Nothing is treated as suitable before that assessment.
- How is return delivery to the Northern Territory arranged?
- Return delivery is discussed with you directly and agreed before the finished component leaves the workshop. Methods, costs and timing are settled between you and Phil rather than promised here.
