Automotive Engraving in Queensland
Queensland riders and owners can have their own motorcycle and automotive components engraved without driving south. The project is worked out with Phil by phone, email and photographs, and the automotive engraving itself is carried out personally by Phil at the Forever Milestones workshop in Jamisontown, New South Wales.
There is no Queensland workshop, branch or representative. Talk to Phil before anything is packed so the component and the design can be confirmed.
For Harley-Davidson projects, Phil can generally supply a new, genuine component as part of the agreed project. Customers may also send their own suitable part. Car and other automotive components are generally customer supplied. Every project should be discussed with Phil before a component is purchased, delivered or posted.
The engraving process
How a Queensland project is worked out from a distance
Queensland covers a very large area, and almost none of it is within an easy drive of Penrith. The process below is built so that the whole project is settled in conversation before a component is packed.

Contact Phil before anything leaves Queensland
Get in touch first, whether you are in Brisbane or several hours from the nearest large town. Nothing should be packed or posted until Phil has looked at the component and confirmed the project.

Describe the component and what you want engraved
Tell Phil what the part is, what it came off and what the finished piece should carry, whether that is a name, a date, a club or unit reference, an emblem or your own artwork.

Send clear photographs and any artwork
Photographs do most of the work when the customer is a thousand kilometres away. Shoot the engraving face straight on and from a couple of angles in good daylight, and include any artwork file, wording list or sketch you have.

Phil assesses your individual component
Material, finish, thickness and the usable engraving area decide what is achievable. Phil looks at your specific part and tells you plainly what it will and will not take before you commit to sending it.

Send the component only after suitability is confirmed
Once the work and the arrangements are agreed, pack the component protectively and send it to the Jamisontown workshop using the method the two of you have discussed.

Phil engraves and checks the component himself
The engraving is completed personally by Phil in Jamisontown, then inspected and repacked for the trip back to Queensland.

Return delivery is arranged with you
Return delivery to your Queensland address is agreed with you directly before the finished component leaves the workshop.

The Australia-wide automotive engraving service is available to customers in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Townsville, Cairns and regional Queensland. These are geographic service examples only. Forever Milestones has no premises, staff or agents in these locations, and all engraving is completed at the Jamisontown workshop.
The distance is exactly why the photographs matter. A clear, well lit set of images of the face you want engraved lets Phil see the finish, the casting marks, the fixing points and the space actually available for lettering, so the discussion is about your part rather than a general description of that type of component.
You also deal with Phil throughout. The person answering your questions about depth, placement and lettering is the person who will hold the component and engrave it, which keeps detail from being lost between a sales desk and a workshop.
Preparing a component for the trip south
- Speak with Phil before packing or sending anything.
- Protect the engraving surface first so nothing rubs against it in transit.
- Use firm padding on every side rather than loose fill that can shift on a long run.
- Choose a box with room for padding around the component rather than a snug fit.
- Ask Phil whether fittings, gaskets or hardware should remain attached.
- Put your name and contact details inside the parcel as well as on the outside.
- Keep any tracking information you are given until the component is back with you.
This guidance applies only when you supply and post a component. It is general guidance to help protect your component in transit. Delivery, insurance and any cover for items in transit are matters between you and the delivery service you choose.
